Deep Clean, Rejuvenate, Prime & Seal Your Deck
This 90m² deck kit brings together the preparation and coating products needed for new, grey, weathered or old bare timber. It deep cleans the surface, restores and conditions the timber, then builds a durable Haymes finish with UVEX Primer and Dexpress Deck Finish.
The finished deck has a refined polished, low-sheen appearance. This kit is intended for bare timber. If the deck still has oil, stain, sealer or another coating on the surface, that coating should be removed with a suitable stripping system first.

Together, these products provide the preparation stage, one primer coat and two Dexpress finish coats for a complete deck system.

Do not apply this system over an old coating. If water beads on the surface, the timber looks patchy from an earlier finish, or a coating is peeling, use a suitable stripping system before cleaning, rejuvenating and coating.
This kit is sized for decks up to approximately 90m², allowing for one preparation treatment, one UVEX Primer coat and two Dexpress finish coats.
Coverage can vary with timber species, porosity, surface profile, application method and the condition of the deck. Very dry, rough-sawn or highly absorbent timber may require more product. Measure the deck and inspect the surface before starting.
- Inspect the deck: make sure the timber is bare and free from old coatings, wax, grease and contaminants.
- Deep clean: apply Viccon Wood Deep Cleaner in accordance with its label directions. Work in manageable sections, agitate where required and rinse thoroughly.
- Rejuvenate: apply Viccon Wood Rejuvenator as directed to restore and condition the timber. Rinse thoroughly after the recommended dwell time.
- Allow the timber to dry: wait until the deck is fully dry. Lightly sand raised grain or rough areas and remove all dust.
- Prime: apply one even coat of Haymes UVEX Primer, following the product label for application conditions, coverage and drying time.
- Seal: apply two even coats of Haymes Dexpress Deck Finish Natural, allowing the specified drying time between coats.
Always follow the directions on each product label. Drying and recoating times change with temperature, humidity, airflow and timber porosity.
UVEX Primer and Dexpress create a polished, low-sheen finish that enhances the timber while helping protect it from outdoor exposure and everyday wear.
Final colour and sheen will vary with the timber species, age, porosity, preparation and number of coats. Test the complete system on a small, discreet area before coating the entire deck.
Inspect the deck regularly and maintain it before the coating becomes heavily worn. Early maintenance is usually easier than allowing the finish to fail completely.

- Protect plants, painted surfaces, metal fittings and nearby areas from cleaner and runoff
- Work in suitable weather and avoid applying coatings to hot timber, in rain or when rain is expected
- Keep children and pets away from the work area until the surface is clean, dry and safe
- Do not mix products together unless the manufacturer’s directions specifically require it
Does this kit contain a timber stripper?
No. It is designed for new, weathered or old bare timber with no coating to remove.
What should I do if an old coating is still present?
Remove it with a suitable deck stripping system before using the Deep Cleaner, Rejuvenator and Haymes coating system.
How many finish coats are included?
The pack provides one UVEX Primer coat followed by two Dexpress Deck Finish coats for approximately 90m².
What finish should I expect?
A polished, low-sheen appearance. The exact colour and sheen will depend on the timber and preparation, so complete a test patch first.
Can I coat immediately after rejuvenating?
No. Rinse thoroughly and allow the timber to dry fully before sanding, priming and applying Dexpress.
SEALIX recommends this system when the deck is genuinely bare but needs thorough preparation before coating. Deep cleaning and rejuvenating help create a more consistent surface, while UVEX Primer supports an even base for the two Dexpress finish coats.
Before starting, splash a little water onto several areas of the deck. If the water soaks in evenly, the timber is likely bare and ready for preparation. If it beads or absorbs unevenly, an old coating may still be present and should be removed first.
For the best result, complete a small test area through every stage—cleaner, rejuvenator, primer and Dexpress—before proceeding with the full deck.
