The timber is deep cleaned and rejuvenated before applying one coat of Haymes UVEX Primer and two coats of Haymes Dexpress Deck Finish for a durable polished, low-sheen result.

This 30m² system prepares new, grey, weathered or old bare timber, then builds a polished low-sheen Haymes finish with one UVEX Primer coat and two Dexpress coats.

The pack provides the preparation stage, one UVEX Primer coat and two Dexpress finish coats for the 30m² system.
Choose this kit for new timber, grey or weathered boards and old bare decks that are ready for a polished, low-sheen Haymes finish.
This is not a stripping kit. If oil, stain, sealer or another coating remains on the timber, remove it with a suitable stripping system before deep cleaning, rejuvenating and coating.
This kit is sized for decks up to approximately 30m², allowing for preparation, one UVEX Primer coat and two Dexpress finish coats.
Coverage varies with timber species, porosity, surface profile and application method. Very dry or rough timber may use more product. Measure the deck and test a small section before starting.
- Confirm that the deck is bare and free from old coatings, wax, grease and contaminants.
- Apply Wood Deep Cleaner according to the label, agitate where required and rinse thoroughly.
- Apply Wood Rejuvenator as directed, allow the recommended dwell time and rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the timber to dry completely. Lightly sand raised grain or rough areas and remove all dust.
- Apply one even coat of Haymes UVEX Primer according to its label.
- Apply two even coats of Haymes Dexpress Deck Finish Natural, observing the required drying and recoating conditions.
UVEX Primer and two Dexpress coats create a polished, low-sheen finish that enhances the timber and helps protect it from outdoor exposure and everyday wear.
Final colour and sheen vary with timber species, age, preparation and porosity. Test the complete system on a discreet area before coating the entire deck.
Inspect the deck regularly and maintain the finish before it becomes heavily worn.

- Protect plants, painted surfaces, metal fittings and nearby areas from cleaner and runoff
- Avoid coating hot timber, during rain or when rain is expected

Does this kit contain a timber stripper?
No. It is intended for new, weathered or old bare timber.
How many coating layers are included?
One UVEX Primer coat followed by two Dexpress finish coats.
Can I coat immediately after rejuvenating?
No. Rinse thoroughly and allow the timber to dry completely before sanding, priming and coating.
What finish should I expect?
A polished, low-sheen appearance. Always complete a test patch first.
SEALIX recommends this system when the timber is genuinely bare and a complete primed Haymes finish is preferred. Deep cleaning and rejuvenating help create a consistent surface, while UVEX Primer provides the base for the two Dexpress finish coats.
Test water absorption across several boards. If water beads or absorbs unevenly, an old coating may still be present and should be removed before beginning.
