Deep Clean & Rejuvenate Deck Kit (20–30m²) is a two-step timber preparation system for new, grey, weathered or old bare decks, The timber must already be bare and free from oils, stains, sealers and other finish build-up.
Deep Cleaner removes weathering, tannins and surface contamination before Wood Rejuvenator restores and neutralises the timber, leaving it ready for sanding and coating.

Prepare Bare Timber Before Coating
This two-step system deep cleans and rejuvenates approximately 20–30m² of new, grey, weathered or old bare decking. It prepares the timber for a compatible oil, stain or protective coating without including the final finish.
Important: Wood Deep Cleaner does not remove coatings or finish build-up. Use Wood Finish Stripper first if any previous decking finish remains.

This is a two-stage preparation kit. A final deck oil, stain or coating is purchased separately.
Choose this kit for new timber, grey or weathered boards and old bare decks that are completely free from coatings and finish build-up.
Wood Deep Cleaner will not remove existing coatings, decking finishes or finish build-up. If oil, stain, sealer, paint or another finish remains on the timber, remove it with Wood Finish Stripper before using this kit.
The kit is sized for approximately 20–30m². Coverage varies with timber species, porosity, surface texture, weathering and application method.
Measure the deck, inspect several areas and test a small section before starting. Very rough or absorbent timber may use more product.
- Remove furniture and sweep away loose dirt.
- Apply Wood Deep Cleaner according to the label, working in manageable sections. Agitate where required and rinse thoroughly.
- Apply Wood Rejuvenator according to the label. Allow the recommended dwell time, then rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the timber to dry completely. Lightly sand raised grain or rough areas and remove all dust.
- Apply your chosen compatible deck coating according to its manufacturer’s instructions.
Deep Cleaner: loosens weathered fibres, tannins, dirt and organic contamination so the surface can be properly restored.
Wood Rejuvenator: neutralises the cleaned surface, brightens the timber and helps create a more consistent base for the next coating.
- Read both product labels and Safety Data Sheets before use
- Wear suitable gloves, eye protection, protective clothing and footwear
- Protect plants, painted surfaces, metal fittings and nearby areas from cleaner and runoff
- Work in suitable weather and do not allow products to dry on the timber
- Keep children and pets away until the area is rinsed, dry and safe
Does this kit include deck oil?
No. It prepares the timber before a compatible oil or coating is applied.
Will Wood Deep Cleaner remove an old coating or finish build-up?
No. The timber must already be bare. Use Wood Finish Stripper first if oil, stain, sealer, paint or another finish remains.
Can I coat immediately after rejuvenating?
No. Rinse thoroughly and allow the deck to dry completely before sanding or coating.
SEALIX recommends this kit when the timber is bare but looks grey, dirty or uneven. Using both preparation stages helps avoid coating over contamination or an unbalanced surface.
Test water absorption in several areas. If water soaks in evenly, the timber is likely bare. If it beads or absorbs unevenly, an old finish may still be present and should be removed before continuing.
