The Deep Clean & Rejuvenate Timber Deck Kit is designed for both weathered decks and brand-new timber surfaces.
For new timber decks, this kit eliminates the need to let the timber “weather” and bleach out in the sun. It safely removes the excess natural tannins that can bleed through coatings, meaning you can clean, neutralise, and seal your deck straight after installation.
For older or untreated decks, the system goes beyond a basic wash. It penetrates deep into the timber fibres to remove dirt, mould, oils, tannins, and organic build-up that weaken coatings and shorten their lifespan. The included Rejuvenator brightens and restores the natural colour while neutralising the surface, leaving it ready to properly bond with your chosen sealer.
This kit is ideal for:
- New decks that need tannins removed before oiling or sealing

The Deep Clean & Rejuvenate Timber Deck Kit is made for bare, grey, weathered, or newly installed timber decks. Standard cleaners only wash the surface — this kit penetrates deep into the fibres to remove tannins, organic growth, and residual penetrating oils. It restores the natural colour, neutralises the timber, and prepares it for long-lasting sealer adhesion.

Clear the deck of furniture, dust, and debris.
Wet the timber surface lightly with clean water — the timber should be damp, not saturated. This stops the cleaner from soaking in and ensures it reacts properly on the surface.
Wear gloves, mask, and safety glasses.
Shake the Deep Cleaner well and apply undiluted with a pump sprayer, brush, or roller.
Keep the surface wet for 20–30 minutes. Mist lightly with water if it begins to dry.
Agitate stubborn or stained areas with a stiff deck brush.
Pressure wash with a petrol-powered washer (max 3000 PSI, min 11 L/min) using a flat or turbo nozzle. Always work with the grain of the timber.
Once clean, apply Viccon Wood Rejuvenator to neutralise and brighten the timber. Allow 15–20 minutes dwell time, then rinse thoroughly.
- New hardwood decks with high tannin bleed (Merbau, Spotted Gum, Ironbark, Jarrah)

- Avoid application in full sun or above 35°C to prevent rapid drying
- Always agitate stubborn stains with a stiff brush for best results
- Rinse walls, glass, and garden areas immediately to avoid streaks
- Follow with Rejuvenator to brighten and neutralise the timber — don’t skip this step
- Is this kit safe for gardens and pets?
- Yes — both products are water-based, biodegradable, and safe when used as directed. Wet down surrounding areas first.
- What safety gear do I need?
- Protective gloves, mask/respirator, and safety glasses are essential.
- Does it work on all timbers?
- Yes — it is effective on all common Australian decking timbers, including dense hardwoods and treated pines.
- Will it remove all coatings?
- No — this kit is not for film-forming coatings. Use the Strip & Rejuvenate Kit for decks with paints, stains, or oils that have built up on the surface.
- What is the coverage?
- Approximately 5–6 m² per litre under normal conditions.
