TED™ by Chemforce is a powerhouse acid cleaner designed to target stubborn mineral residues like efflorescence, rust marks, mortar stains, soap scum, limescale, and fireplace soot — all while being significantly safer to handle than hydrochloric acid.
Formulated with 50–60% Urea Hydrochloride, TED™ delivers industrial-grade cleaning performance with:
Lower fumes, making it easier to work with in confined or sensitive areas
Controlled reactivity, meaning it won't burn skin instantly if contacted
Minimal metal corrosion, making it ideal for restoration projects on mixed-material surfaces
✅ How to Use
Always wear gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
Test first. Always spot test on acid-sensitive surfaces.
Pre-wet porous surfaces to avoid deep acid penetration.
Dilute before use:
1:10 for efflorescence and rust
1:20 for grout haze, soap scum, limescale
Apply with a sprayer or brush — work in sections.
Agitate with a white nylon pad or stiff brush.
Neutralise immediately using:
Oxitec-M™, or
1 cup bicarbonate of soda in a bucket of water
Leave neutraliser for 3+ minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water, multiple times.
⚠️ DO NOT use TED™ on marble, travertine, or limestone. It will etch and damage these acid-sensitive materials.
